Four things any dog owner wants to hear when choosing treats for his/her furbaby!

While searching online for great new products for Charlie, I found a great company called Be Pawsitive. Such an awesome program folks, you will love it!

You can hop over to Be Pawsitive here and read more about their awesome buy 1 give one program. You can purchase treats for your pup online and when they mail your box of treats, they mail out a box to a animal shelter or rescue. How great is that? I think it is pretty great so I contacted Be Pawsitive to get more information and they sent me a box to try for Charlie!

You can also stop by the Be Pawsitive Facebook page by clicking here and let them know I sent you.

Let's just say Charlie loves the oven baked dog treats. We have been working on a new trick lately. His most recent trick is to play dead, with the command "bang". Look for the video soon! After a few tries today, Charlie figured it out and he loved his reward.

Tuesday Toy Talk with Charlie

Obviously this isn't Tuesday but recently my weeks have been a little out of order! (BUSY)

Getting big fast... and loving his latest toy. This ball similar to the one here from JW pet is a great outdoor toy since it is a rubber material that can be washed off! Charlie loves it because he can grab it with his mouth but it rolls like a ball!

A few snapshots of Charlie growing like a weed at 4 months old.

Do you guys have any fantastic outdoor dog toys that your dogs love?

Tuesday Toy Talk...

Charlie's favorite toy has to be the Kong. Of course, the reason he loves the Kong, because it is always stuffed with something yummy.

If you ever need a fantastic toy to occupy your pup while he/she is in the crate or company is over and you need something to have them really focus on... try the Kong. The best part about it is you can fill it with anything your dog loves, such as yogurt with a hint of peanut butter, and pop it in the freezer. After the freezer, the filling is a lot more work for the pup to get out!

Something to Chew...

Charlie has been growing like a weed. I am pretty sure he has almost doubled in size since we got him February 2nd. He is a ball of energy and we are so excited that the sun is out here in Pa and we can finally play outside!

Keeping him busy inside has been fun too after our latest visit to Petsmart. We picked up an interactive type puzzle toy for him. Have you ever heard of these for your dogs? We LOVE them. This particular toy has four cup type pieces that he lifts out and he tries to find the treat underneath. After that he can turn the one piece and find the rest. He loves it and it's great because it takes him more than one second to eat the treat! :-)

I will leave you with some more pictures of our cutie.

Do you have any great puzzle toys for your dog? Or any fantastic toys for a big dog with lots of energy? Feel free to share!

Introducing the Newest Member of Our Family...

Meet Charlie.

Charlie joined our family about a week ago. He has definitely put a smile on my face and made us laugh for the past week! Let me step back and fill you in...

In September 2013 our furbaby of almost 14 years passed away. Ginger was a sweetheart and our house hasn't been the same without her. Until last Sunday, I couldn't imagine having any other dog. We have planned to get a puppy even a year before Ginger passed. We didn't want to disrupt Ginger's quiet home and she loved being the center of attention. So, last Saturday night, R shows me a picture online of this precious puppy! The sex of the puppies wasn't listed on the ad and we knew we wanted a male. So I, of course, said no way and that I am sure they were females. Step forward a day....

As soon as I woke up, something had changed in my mind and I knew this was our puppy! I told R, if the puppy was a boy... it was meant to be. Guess what?? It's a boy!

Skip all the boring parts... We picked Charlie up and took him directly to the pet store to pick out his new collar and some toys for his first day home!

Here is Charlie on his first day with his new family! Isn't he too cute??

Feel free to share any new puppy suggestions!

Sunshine!

Gorgeous sunshine here today! Is it sunny where you are today? I have decided I am pretending all this snow is sand and it's about 70 degrees rather than 11!
